Transformation
Serving the Unemployed and Under Employed Individuals in our Community
Helping Adults Build the Soft Skills Needed to Gain and Retain Sustainable Employment
More than 375 individuals have completed the Transformation program to date with 89 percent of graduates successfully gaining employment or being enrolled in school within 90 days.
Phase 1: Encouragement:
The purpose of Phase 1 is to build a relationship with the participant, assess self-efficacy level, and establish principles of self-worth. Classes include:
- Your identity produces your self-worth
- Overcoming Adversity and Disappointment
- Borrowed Offenses
- Personality Profiles

Phase 2: Challenge
The purpose of Phase 2 is to challenge participants to change their mindset on what makes them employable. Again, it is the responsibility of the individual to invest in their transformation during this phase. In this phase of the curriculum, the program focus is to teach entrepreneurial related skills in the areas of attitude, responsibility, communication, problem-solving, and workplace preparation. Classes include:
5. Attitude – Is a state of mind
6. Building the “I” concept
7. Responsibility – Who’s responsible?
8. Making the commitment
9. Communication – Talking, listening, and body language
10. Dealing with Conflict
11. Problem Solving
12. Workplace Preparation
Transformation differs from other job‑readiness programs in our area because it is built on a faith‑based, relationship‑driven model rather than a traditional classroom structure. While many programs operate with a “teacher‑to‑student” dynamic, Transformation is intentionally designed to function as a facilitated dialogue. Facilitators and participants learn together, talk through real‑life challenges, and create a space where participants often lead parts of the conversation themselves. This approach shifts the experience from a lecture to a shared journey.
